Adults Only, Qld Veterans and Disabled Champs

20 & 21 August 2005

As expected, there was a relatively small turnout for both the Adults Only, and the Queensland Veterans and Disabled tournaments on the weekend. With only 21 entrants, it was decided to amalgamate the two events.

The only surprise was the high standard of the tournament, with 12 of the 21 entrants rated over 1600, and 3 rated over 2000. Kevin Casey was untroubled in winning with 4.5/5, dropping only a solid draw to Matthew Sonter. Five rounds worked well for the number of players, as did the 11am start on the Sunday.
