Tournament Entries via an Internet Portal

A new internet-based schools entry portal has been developed in order to allow direct entry of teams by competing schools (and subsequent amendments or deletions if necessary). The portal is designed to simplify the entry process for schools and streamline the  processing of entries with improved accuracy and efficiency.

To enter the portal click HERE and 'create a new account' by filling in the details requested. This will set up your school (and will issue you with a specific password), in readiness to enter your players' names in the relevant tournament.

Please note:  if you do have problems and a password is not sent to you, please email us immediately with your school name and we will be able give you your password. If your school has already been registered for a different tournament, please add 'primary' or 'high' to the school name or if it is an often-used name like St Joseph's (for example, we have 11 chess playing St Joseph's!), just add the suburb.

Once you've logged in, it should be easy. When you enter a name of someone who has a Queensland Junior Rating, all their details (latest rating and date of birth) will automatically pop up, providing their name is spelt exactly the same as in the Q Rating List. This is easy to check by consulting the list here.

If you know any details - like the date of birth or spelling of the names - are incorrect, just edit them after registering them. If one of your players has the same name as another player from elsewhere, just add an initial (even if it is fictitious) and edit it out afterwards.

Of course, unrated players' details will have to be added in full.
