Final Round

The Beaudesert Inter-Schools finals day for 2006 incorporated primary schools and for the first time a secondary school. St Bernard's eventually held on to their crown, but not before giving Mr Duncan some anxious moments.

Teams:

1st St Bernard's Douglas 23,

2nd St Mary's McCartney 21,

3rd Jimboomba Chapman 18.5.

Individuals:

1st Morgan Barnett 7/7,

2nd to 4th Nicholas McCartney, Liam Moloney and Patrick Rice 6.

Overall, the primary and secondary students were very accepting of one another, and the sportsmanship was great.

Term 1

St Bernard's (Douglas), the reigning champions, have won round one of the 2006 competition from St Mary's (Cleal) in second and Jimboomba (Chapman) in third. Beaudesert and Canungra also provided very good competition.

 
Individually, Liam Moloney came first on a picket fence 8/8, with Angus Douglas second on 6.5 on tie-break from Joshua de Bruyn in third.
