Giant Garden Set

King 640mm, Queen 580mm, Bishop 560mm, Knight 490mm, Rook 430mm and Pawn 430mm, all with a 240mm base. Colours black and white; material is moulded PVC, with detachable base allowing the pieces to be weighted with sand, water or similar if desired.

A board is not included - suitable floor tiles or pavers may be used to form the board of 64 squares, each square approx 350mm x 350mm.

A very lightweight nylon mat (as pictured) is perfect for instant use and can be speedily set up anywhere, indoors or outside. The mat is 2.65m square with individual squares of 320mm.

Note: The giant set weighs nearly 34 kg in total and is packed in two large cartons, cubic mass 75 kg. Freight cost depends on destination - it can be about $100 or much more to distant destinations, so check with us before ordering.

Checkers Sets

A primitive form of checkers, also known as draughts, existed more than 40 centuries ago. In the 14th century the chess board was utilised and this gave rise to the term checkers, being played on a checkered board.

Google the word 'draughts' or 'checkers' and you will find lots of information on the rules and the history of this fascinating game.

The giant checkers (draughts) set is made from very durable PVC.

The giant mat (for chess or checkers) is of light weight nylon material and neatly folds into a handy bag (as pictured).
The mat is 2.65m square with individual squares of 320mm.

Chess in a tube - The set pictured on the right is the perfect tournament set for children (and adults) on the move. The set is the standard Staunton design, identical to those used in all school tournaments in Queensland and northern NSW, and comes complete with a light-weight roll-up board. The whole set fits snugly into a strongly-made cylinder.

Very well priced at $32, including GST.

Super Giant Chess Set
