Knight of Byron 2009

With the top four seeds rated over 800 the third annual Knight of Byron was a tough battle on the top boards. However the winners came from outside this group. Arthur Thiele the 6th seed was this years big improver to win from 5th seed Raj O'Brien with top seed and previous winner Jarrod Laverty third. Oliver Arthur-Andrews made it to board 3 in the last round to go one better than last year and win the junior section from Evan Litchfield and school mate Max Hamilton.
