Firstly, we held the Summer Rapids from Monday 12 to Friday 16 January from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm, with separate tournaments morning and afternoon. No coaching was involved, but guidance was given where necessary.

The following week we had our very popular day Chess Camp. This ran from Monday 19 to Friday 23 January, from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm daily.

These camps are ideally suited to beginners who want to kick-start their chess, but also attract players wishing to get some good competition and the possibility of adding to their ratings points. We hold coaching sessions on several occasions each day for the three different levels of ability. These are interspersed with several rounds of a tournament for beginners, intermediate and advanced players.
