IM Peter Froehlich and FM Gene Nakauchi won the transfer event on countback from Bruce Williams and Michael Van Pelt. Froehlich and Nakauchi defeated Williams and Van Pelt but lost to Matthew Sonter and Daniel Ford. 17 teams took part.
