Gene Nakauchi has
won the 2008 Gold Coast Junior Championships with a picket
fence 7/7. He was rarely troubled, and played some great
chess. Well done Gene. Sam Grigg came outright second
on 5.5, and gave Gene a good fight in their individual game.
Other winners were:
Martin Jack and
Daniel Lapitan showed that they will be a force at the
Australian Juniors next January, and Jason Dinh
scored some big upset wins, auguring well for the future.
