Brisbane Primary Schools Championships

Round 1 - March 2005

 

Nundah Primary have once again dominated round one of the Brisbane Primary Inter-Schools competition held today at the Marymac Centre. In Championship Grade, the team comprising Tuyen Dinh, Todd Anderson, Jake Moyle and Lachlan Fitzpatrick finished on 25/28, seven and a half points ahead of the Nundah Silao team, with Indooroopilly a further point back in third place. Unfortunately, Chapel Hill, Somerville House, ACGS Norris and Fernvale Knights are relegated to reserve grade for round two.

In reserve grade, the Bardon O'Rourke team came first on 21/28, second were the Anglican Church Grammar School Smith team on 19, and third were the Mt Tarampa Buchanan team on 18.5. These three teams plus the Indooroopilly 4 team are promoted to championship grade for round two. Individually, Justin Riley came first on 6.5, with Yarran Gunn-Schrader second on 6 and Toby Alfred-Jones, also on six in third place.
 
149 players participated.
 
Round Two is scheduled for the Marymac Centre on Wed 25 May with the finals also at the Marymac Centre on Monday 15 August. Each event is stand-alone, so schools may enter as many teams as they wish on each occasion. The Brisbane Individual Age Championships are scheduled for the Marymac Centre on Tues/Wed 25/26 October.
