The Burleigh Bishops have won the Humble Pawn teams event for the second time in three years. They won by half a point from the Mudgeeraba Marauders. On the final night we were pleased to include visiting guests IMs Peter Froehlich and Alex Wohl and Peter's wife Wendy Smith. But the Gold Coasters weren't giving away any Christmas spirit with Kelvin Finke defeating Peter Froehlich and Phachara Wongwichit defeating Alex Wohl. To top matters off, Matthew Sonter was defeated by Steven Cooke.
