Club Championship, 2005

There was a good turnout for the break-up party. Yitao Lei
proved that he knew far more about chess history than anyone
else present by convincingly winning the chess quiz, and
Darren and Lachlan Do proved they could build a higher chess
tower than anyone else.
Jenny Beckett, who recently retired from the position of
treasurer of the Gold Coast Chess Club after at least five years
in the position, was presented with thank-you gifts by the
President of the club Peter Haron. Peter also announced
that Jenny was being made a Life Member of the club.
