2008 QUEEN’S BIRTHDAY WEEKEND RAPID TOURNAMENT

Venue	Queensland Contract Bridge Club (Same venue as Brisbane Chess Club) 67 Ipswich Road Woolloongabba
Prizes	1^st Place: $150 2^nd Place: $100 3^rd Place: $75 4 Rating Groups, 1^st Place in each= $40 All rights reserved to amend prizes as necessary (either increased or reduced). Prizes are based on 30 entries.
Session times	Entries close: 9:30am Saturday 7^th June Round 1: 10am Round 2: 10:45 Round 3: 11:30 Round 4: 12:15 Lunch: 1pm -1:30pm Round 5: 1:30pm Round 6: 2:15pm Round 7: 3:00pm Round 8: 3:45pm Round 9: 4:30pm
Time controls	15 minutes plus 5 seconds per move (Fischer) 9 rounds
Special conditions	Tournament will be played in one division. 2005 Fide laws of chess and 2005 Fide Rapid laws of chess will be enforced. This tournament is not being run by the CAQ Council. Main organiser is Garvin Gray.
Entry fees per player	$20 if entering by 1st June. $30 if entering by 6th June $40 if entering on the day A family entering 3 players- Third person plays for half price A family entering 4 or more players- 4th player enters for free
Rating	June 2008 normal/classical ratings will be used.
