This tournament is a 'not for profit' event. We are seeking sponsors. We may have need for some volunteer assistance.

STRONG JUNIORS rated over 1000 take note

Gardiner Chess will be putting on a week-long junior training squad in the last week of term two 18-22 June for players with a QJ or ACF rating of at least 1,000. Grandmaster Ian Rogers will be staying with us for this week, and he is widely regarded as Australia's top chess trainer. He is also heavily involved in the Australian junior selection process. As this is a school week, we are not sure how many of the top chess students will be able to attend, so we are asking for registrations of interest. Please register here immediately if you are interested. The week's fee will be $130 to cover coaching costs - this is a not-for-profit event. The week is immediately followed by the Gold Coast Open and the Queensland Junior Championships.
